Nintendo reveals the Wii U

Nintendo finally gave us what they promised they would at E3. They have officially unveiled the successor to the hugely popular Wii. The Wii U will come with a totally redesigned controller that will include a 6.2" LCD display. The console will finally include that missing link from the original Wii.....Full 1080P HD compatibility. The Wii U console will also be fully compatible with all Wii games and Wii peripherals. On top of a built in SD card reader (not sure what they are planning for this).
The new controller will have a built in gyroscope and accelerometer for tilt control, it’s got full traditional Nintendo stick and button controls on either side of the screen also. As well as a microphone, speakers and an inward facing camera. No word yet on when the Wii U will be released in the U.S., but stay tuned to MHC for new details as they emerge.
