What can I say about this season of Torchwood Miracle Day?

Oh I know……

Its 10 Hours of my life I will never get back.

To be frank I had only seen a few episodes of Torchwood season 1 on Netflix Instant. I was somewhat impressed with that show but I still felt it wasn’t for me. When I heard that STARZ & BBC were teaming up to bring the show to new viewer’s here, I was interested to see what they would do.

Boy was I sorely mistaken!!!!!

To sum up the series, one day death ceases to exist on the planet earth. Everyone becomes immortal, or at least unable to die. Everyone that is, except Capt. Jack Harkness of TORCHWOOD. The only immortal man suddenly finds himself mortal.

Jack along with Gwen and 2 CIA agents must investigate and find out whom or what caused the so called miracle.

What basically happens is a very long and drawn out season that is clichéd and boring to say the lease. Plot lines that are so predictable you can see them walking down Main Street in the middle of the day. Also the acting is somewhat stiff. The only good thing about the show is Eve Myles as Gwen!!! The scenes with her adjusting to life in the U.S. are probably the only good things about this series.

What’s the worst thing about the show???? Jesus….the whole thing LOL. But if I had to single out a specific person or thing, I would say A) Bill Pullman, who over acted so much in this series I wanted to slap the shit out of him and B) Too much with the gay sex between Jack and whoever.

I know that John Barrowman is gay and I have nothing against that, but one whole episode was just him having sex with a guy.

So yeah.

Ok to sum up the series and what the miracle is…..

Its Jack’s blood that was fed into some mysterious cavern in the earth and thus caused the population to become immortal.

WTF????

Obviously they team fixes it but with one side effect. There are now two members of TORCHWOOD who are now immortal….

Again….WTF????

My advice is to skip this series if you haven’t seen it and devote your time to watching DOCTOR WHO or for that matter this past season of TRUE BLOOD (which I will review sometime this week). You will be better off devoting your time and effort into either of these two series.

I will be surprised if this show comes back next year, but given TV nothing surprises me anymore.
