Nikita

Wow.

Wow. Wow.

WOW WOW WOW!

That is exactly my response to each of the 3 episodes that have played so far this season: Game Change, Falling Ash and Knightfall – All named for Black Box missions. All missions that are coming back to haunt division. All somehow connected to Alex’s mission to right the wrongs of her father’s company, Zetrov.

The season opener closed up some loose ends from Season 1. We saw that Michael and Nikita were on the run, living from hand to mouth, no real place to call home and no possessions. In Falling Ash, they are shacking up with Birkoff who left Division after it fell, and seems to be working with but not working with but working with “Mikita”. We also get Owen back (who Birkoff seems to REALLY be afraid off) (oh and SWOON! Devon Sawa was on the cover of all my teen magazines!) and he is trying to get off the regimen. What else do we learn about Owen? Oh right. He’s hooked up with Gogol. I knew they would be making a comeback this season somehow! This just opens the book for so many problems, but potential. (Thanks to my keen eye, we also know in Episode 10 this season, Nikita and Owen are going to be having a "chat").

Percy is locked up in what resembles the same box that resembles the same type of holding cell that once held Dr. Evil. And you KNOW he is too smart to stay in there. As the season goes on, we have noticed he is acquiring items. These obviously will have some part in helping him get out of that box. A TV (a nice TV too), and English Tea every morning at 7am plus Alex dropping by a lot? Yeah. This all reeks of potential. I love the way Xander is playing this part.

We also noticed that Michael, Nikita and Birkoff are kind of a family now. They all care about each other very much. Even though Birkoff won’t admit it, he holds a special place for Nikita and Michael. And they hold a special place for him. I mean after all, he does swoop in and save their butts. (Again…)

And Michael nearly dying in Knightfall? OMG. I absolutely LOVED the scene where Nikita was upset and crying that he could have died. It was REAL. It was not fake. It looked real and I loved it. I actually FELT it and it drew a tear from me. Great acting. Absolutely wonderful.

This series has so much potential this season and they have some GREAT writers, directors and an amazing cast that wants to see this show succeed.

One thing I do not like, is the fact that the CW has moved Nikita to Friday! The worst night of the week for ratings! Even Supernatural has taken a ratings hit! Ugh! CW! Stop it! This is such an amazing show; put it back on another night, please. Ratings have not been kind. This season started off with 1.83 million and has slowly dropped. Most women 18-34 on a Friday are out at the bar, not sitting home watching Nikita! (Except me. Cause I am lame. And have a kid and stuff like that). I mean, this is the show that during it's first season I stopped watching CSI for and let is just record in the DVR!

You are really missing out if you are not watching Nikita.

The cast of Nikita will be at New York Comic Con this coming weekend. We are going to try out best to get some of our questions answered and see if we can have a Q&A with the cast. If you have any questions email them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will be sure to ask the cast!
