Batman the Dark Knight is the latest comic book in the Batman franchise.  This series is written and drawn by David Finch (New Avengers).  It is a solid story and can be considered either a standalone title or part of the whole Batman Inc. crossover.

The issue titled In Golden Dawn part one has Batman investigating the disappearance of a childhood friend of his.  His search in this issue leads to a confrontation with Killer Croc and leaves us off with a cliffhanging ending encounter with The Penguin.  The issue also gives us a flashback into Bruce Wayne’s childhood before his parent’s murder.

The issue is 32 pages and costs $3.99 with cover art done by Finch as well. It is a must read for a true Batman fan!!!
