CSI: Can it be revived? Perhaps.
Written by Samantha Thursday, 22 September 2011 12:34

CSI has been on a downward spiral the last 3 seasons since losing Grissom and replacing him with Lawrence Fishburne, losing 5-7 million viewers on average from previous seasons per episode. Last night’s season opened with 13.5 million viewers, which was in line with their last season’s numbers. Fishburne has been replaced by Ted Danson (Cheers). On top of that, we will see Catherine depart CSI after Episode 12 this season. (and much of the first part of the season is going to act as her send off.) I was a little shocked to hear she would be leaving, but after 12 years in the same role, with little to no further character development, it is understandable.
NCIS starts off where last season left off. Action! Drama! Tension!

NCIS has now begun its 9th season and boy did it start off with a bang. Literally.
Two and a Half Men... gets Two and a Half Stars.

We all know what happened with Charlie Sheen and Two and a Half Men. He was fired, he went crazy, and he got himself a few goddesses, and well is certainly “winning”. However, his former TV show last night certainly is not “winning” my viewership any longer.
Review: FALLING SKIES
Last Updated on Friday, 10 June 2011 22:33 Friday, 10 June 2011 22:26

Premiering June 19th at 9pm on TNT, Falling Skies is a new science fiction series produced by the legendary Steven Spielberg dealing with an alien invasion. Although the preview itself was an event well-hosted by the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, complete with free swag and food, seeing two episodes rather than one in a single sitting came off as a torture more than a treat.
I would go on with my usual rant about cinematic elements here, the value of subtle acting, etc. but quite frankly there is nothing to be said. Yes, the way camp is set up and roles such as the medical team make sense given the respective context, and were two or three moments that got me to chuckle but those were far and between the cliché which surrounded the rest of the show. If it's here, you've seen it before. Down to over-the-top dramatic effects and humans arguing over guns that need to be there the moment aliens enter the equation. More after the break....
